Research in Fisheries

The search box options above are a great place to begin gathering information about a topic within fisheries.

  • The Library Search Engine will display results containing all available media including: scholarly journals, eBooks, print books, newspaper articles, magazine articles, reports, conference proceedings, and more. After you perform a search, we recommend you use the left hand side limiters to narrow the results.
  • The Google Scholar search engine will display both available and behind a paywall content, including scholarly journals and reports related to your search terms. If you find a source you do not believe you have access to because of a paywall, consider requesting it through the library Interlibrary Loan services.

When using a search engine, be concise with your search terms. Do not use full sentences or punctuation. If you are stuck on where to begin make a list of keywords related to your topic to use as search terms. Some keywords may be more successful than others, be flexible and persist until you find the best sources for your needs.
