American Fisheries Society

  The American Fisheries Society is the world’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to strengthening the fisheries profession, advancing fisheries science, and conserving fisheries resources.
- What's included?
  PSC gives students and employees access to five of the top journals in the field: Transactions of the American Fisheries Society, North American Journal of Fisheries Management, Journal of Aquatic Animal Health, North American Journal of Aquaculture, Marine and Coastal Fisheries, and Fisheries magazine.
Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL)
- Why search here?
  To find historical biodiversity information, primary sources, digitized natural sciences texts, and recent openly accessible research regarding biodiversity and ecosystems.
- What's included?
  BHL operates as a worldwide consortium of natural history, botanical, research, and national libraries working together to digitize the natural history literature held in their collections and making it freely available for open access as part of a global “biodiversity community.” Free access to hundreds of thousands of volumes, comprising over 59 million pages, from the 15th-21st centuries.
BioOne Complete
- Why search here?
  To find research and publications regarding biological, ecological, and environmental sciences—interdisciplinary content which can serve a wide range of academic interests.
- What's included?
  BioOne Complete is a database that offers 217 full-text journals from leading scientific societies and independent presses around the world. The platform contains both current and backfile content. 74% of BioOne Complete’s 2021 subscribed titles have Impact Factors, and 32% are based outside the US. Furthermore, two-thirds of current titles are only available as full-text through BioOne Complete.

  To find information about species from recognized authoritative texts in the field.
- What's included?
  Encyclopedia, guidebook, reference, and scholarly research content written by ornithologists all over the world. Combines four major celebrated works of ornithology: Birds of North America, The Handbook of Birds of the World, Neotropical Birds, and Bird Families of the World.
Environment Complete
- Why search here?
  To find books, journal content, and news. Covers agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, or urban planning.
- What's included?
  Contains more than 2.4 million records from more than 2,200 domestic and international titles going back to 1888 (including over 1,350 active core titles) as well as more than 190 eBooks. The database also contains full text for more than 920 journals--most resources are available in full-text, though some may need to be requested through InterLibrary Loan for full access.
ProQuest Biology Database
- Why search here?
  To find sources within the many subfields of biology, heavy in scholarly journals, reports, and conference proceedings.
- What's included?
  Full-text, abstracts, and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science. Provides access to literature from over 6000 journals, magazines, and news sources, as well as conference proceedings, technical reports, monographs, and selected books and patents. Most resources are available in full-text, some articles may need to be requested through InterLibrary Loan for full access.
SORA (Searchable Ornithological Research Archive)
- Why search here?
  To find scholarly journal articles, background information, book chapters, and other ornithology resources freely available online.
- What's included?
  Open access to an extensive library of ornithological literature of international scope, and detailed material documenting the history of ornithology in North America over the last 120 years. Some content may only include reviews or citations, the full versions can be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
